"Continuing the goals that have been set by the previous committees, we strive to hold a high quality competition that can bring useful experiences for all debaters across Riau Islands. Despite not being able to hold MEDC offline, we promise to bring new innovations and experiences that will surely leave an impression to the participants.

Despite the unforeseeable future, which has caused a change of plans for 2021 MEDC, we thought to ourselves that we should not give in, we have to be a platform where everyone can learn and get better. No matter what comes our way, we will find a way to realise our goals and that is making MEDC 2021 as best as possible regardless of the situation.

As much as we want to hold this event offline, we must prioritise the safety protocols and help break the COVID-19 chain, and you should too.
